यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत

yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata

Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and a rise in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest myself on earth.
